Faith Alone In Christ Alone

Jesus Christ had you personally in mind when he went to the cross and every sin that you have ever committed or will ever commit was imputed to Him on the cross and judged.  You can have Eternal Life because Christ took your place on the cross and was judged for your sins.   What must one do to have eternal life?  Have faith.  Faith is non-meritorious where the object (our Lord Jesus Christ) has all the merit.   Therefore:

"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey [the command to believe] the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."  -Jn. 3:36*

You cannot add anything of your own to what God has done in His grace.  Salvation must be non-meritorious.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of  yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."  -Eph. 2:8,9

The Bible never tells us to invite Christ into our hearts (or anywhere else for that matter), nor does the Bible ever tell us that we must make Christ "the Lord of our life" in order to be saved.   The Bible simply and repeatedly tells us that we must believe in Christ in order to be saved.

You have privacy in your soul, which means that you have freedom.  You are free to express your option for eternal life because it is a private matter between you and God.  God has provided it and you can respond non-meritoriously.  Believe in Christ and you will be saved, right now, right where you sit, you can tell God the Father (forming the sentences in your mind) that you are believing in Jesus Christ and that is the moment of eternal life for you.

"These are communicated that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.  And that believing you might have eternal life through His name."  John 20:31

This is your option right now.
